cornas in Korona

nope. just red wine. we left popi's family in negrita to go visit her boyfriend ari's family - a reallllly small village right along the macedonia border called korona (it's not even google-able). his family has a goat farm which was cool to see - minus the fact that we ate one of the little ones for dinner - and the cutest little puppies we wanted to bring home with us. it was a cold night in northern greece and we took an extremely bumpy ride up a nearby mountain where the top housed an old soldier fortress (which probably contained some refugees...i'm not going to lie i felt a little scared). the setting sun over greece and nearby macedonia was pretty cool though. the goat - although still stuffed from lunch - was delicious. even more delicious to eat it with your hands, right off of the bones. and we had testicles. arina and i shared one. puahahah - it was really tasty. i was quite impressed with arina.

half way on our way back to thessaloniki we stopped at a bar, again was packed with young people, for a quick drink with ari, his friend and his sister. more techno music, dressed up girls, slick good looking guys (did i mention before how beauutiful greek guys are? no joke.) popi joked that arina and i were probably the first foreigners ever to step into the bar before and we joked about how loud the music was and no one was dancing, even too loud to talk to each other! but sunday easter, it was packed. it was a fantastic easter.
