we went to the coast to enjoy an afternoon by ourselves. some of us went to eat gelato, some of us went to sit on the rocky beach, some of us wandered around the city. arina and i went with popi, sung, and yui to find a post office to mail our postcards but we got lost and ended up sitting watching old men fish from the side of the boardwalk and then met the other students on the rocky pebbly beach.

jules "made me" go into the water, which was cold and refreshing on my stinky feet.
then we got on the bus, and off the bus, for a surprise: birthday cakes and champagne for kate and nanae. just what we needed: more food!! even though we all just wanted to share a slice, it was so creamy and scrumptious everyone ended up wanting another slice.
