i just watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. i found it funny, cute, wonderfully animated and full of metaphoric ingredients that relate to our current global situation. or maybe i've just had too much food geography for one week. yes, definitely. but it is interesting to point out and consider the cartoon version of the children's book is filled with references to waste, portion sizes, obesity, overabundance, bigger is better mentality, science and technology, social stereotypes, consumer demands, environmental impacts...i could go on. but very well done.
